Killers on Wheels - on fan subbed DVD now

I wrote about the Shaw Brothers film KILLERS ON WHEELS when it was made available as a VOD only release in France. That release is a beautiful uncut and restored print but being French it only carries French subs. Now there's finally an English subbed version from the fans at FuSubs. They're not money greedy bootleggers but fans and their DVDs are cheap. Click the cool cover for full size.

Rutger Hauer with a shutgun

Arghh, check this trailer out! It's for the new upcoming movie HOBO WITH A SHUTGUN and it stars ol'e serial killer psycho (from the original THE HITCHER) Rutger Hauer! It looks pretty fucken awesome. At first I thought the poster looked like one of those fake ones, LOL. It seems it's genuine enough alright.

Thanks to Rammy who posted about it on Uncut.dk forum.

EDIT (23.08.2024): I've just seen the embedded video has been taken off my post and this very odd statement. "Complaint from the Government"!?!? Huh??? What government??? I'm in Denmark, they don't ban or censor film traileres here. The US government??? Very odd. Well, I'll just upload it directly to THIS post! ^_^

PS. PS. PS: Oh, I see what the problem was! I had my VPN set for Germany. I guess the trailer (maybe the whole film???) is banned in Deutschland.
Here's the disclamber you get in Germany (or with a VPN):

Eddie Romero's THE WOMAN HUNT (Philippines, 1972) - trailer

aka ESCAPE (UK)

This is the rare trailer for Eddie Romero's THE WOMAN HUNT. It's not on DVD but I have an awesome Danish ex-rental VHS of it. Big thanks to Diabolik who sent it to me as a nice gift, and uploaded the trailer when I asked about it (even tho the nudity in said trailer may get him booted from YT if any PC dickheads flag it down!!).

Satanic Crystals - laserdisc!!!

Wauw!!! Big congrats to the Cinehound member in Canada who just got hold of this awesome laserdisc release of SATANIC CRYSTALS! I'm sure it blows my German DVD outta the water!!! O_O

Please send it to me. Thanks.

Loos of the World, episode 67

Helena Mikas (aka Miss Vixen) is a slightly eccentric (in a good way) British woman who lives in Berlin. I've never met Miss Vixen and she doesn't watch psychotronic cinema (and I'm not quite sure where the "Miss Vixen" comes from, I don't think it's to do with what you might think) but her blog is fun (altho rather neglected these days). Here's a video from her visit to the loo (it's not what you might think).

More awesome Danish ex-rentals!

This week I bought a pile of ex-rental (and a few sell-thru) tapes from a collector on Uncut.dk forum. They're of course all cool tapes but these three are by far the ones I'm most happy about. I might even say overly stricken by joy! xD xD xD

The top tape is one of my favourite blaxploitation flicks, J.D's REVENGE about this black gangster dude who comes back from the dead to seek revenge. I already have a fine DVD release but I much neeeeded this über rare tape when I saw it was up for grabs!!

- and this tape is also an old blaxploitaion classic, Fred Williamson's HELL UP IN HARLEM! I already have the film on a video tape from Holland but... do I need to repeat myself (LMAO)... this is overly, überly, flabbergastically, rare and I had to have it! Simply haaad to.

- the last one is without a doubt thee most rare of thees taespe... mouth... won't wrok... aarghhh... this tape is so rare it's like finding an ice cold can of 7UP in the dessert!!! Not only is this release mega rare on it's own but this is a Video2000 release!!! I'm 300% convinced this is the only copy left in this world!!! Arrrgh.

Oh, did I forget to mention which film it is, haha. It's Bobby A. Suarez' DEVIL'S THREE starring Marrie Lee. It's a kind of sequel to THEY CALL HER CLEOPATRA WONG.

Many thanks to Maratonman for this awesome trade!!!

Reeling them in! (the rare Dutch ex-rentals, that is!)

Ahh, here are scans of four tapes I won last night at an auction over on Cinehound. The three top tapes are Japanese monster movies! And yes, I can get them on DVD and no, they don't hold the usual ex-rental collector value to me since I only collect Danish tapes (unless it's something I can't get anywhere else).

SUPER MONSTER (International title) aka Gamera Super Monster (US TV)

So why these tapes? Well, 10 years ago I use to have a catalogue from a shop called Cult Corner in Amsterdam lying around! Cult Corner had this truly amazing VHS catalogue of what they described as "500 uncut films"! Now, they didn't actually have 500 but they did have TONS of titles and I kept looking thru that catalogue again and again, drooling away. The problem was that I didn't have too much money at the time (kinda like now) and the tapes were quite expensive. Plus it was a pain in the arse to order from other countries as we didn't have the internet, online shopping, or PayPal!! Back then I only got hold of very few of these tapes so when I saw that Peter (aka Petcor80) had some of the tapes up for auction I immediately felt the same urge to own them. Can I get them on DVD? Fuck off! That's not what this is about, haha.

The fourth tape is THE EXECUTIONER, PART 2 which is the un-official sequel to THE EXTERMINATOR (which actually has an official sequel!). I already have the UK tape but I'm told it's missing two scenes so needless to say I hope this Dutch tape is gonna be fully uncut!

Ol'e Drac gets a bathtub... I mean Bafta

He'll spit in your face if you mention Dracula to him but, hey, he's still the best Dracula there ever was in my opinion! DRACULA from 1931 may be the version every scholar agrees to is the "real" Dracula film but to me it's Hammer Horror's HORROR OF DRACULA (which actually, originally is also just called DRACULA in the UK). The other day he received the BAFTA prize for having made a lot of awesomely cool films for a real long time (altho they phrased it differently). I taped the show but haven't bothered to watch it yet but one segment I made sure to watch is Christopher Lee's speech and now by the wonders of YouTube you can all watch it. :D

PS: Please don't send hate-mail; Calling Lee Hammer studio's finest was just for the headline. Needless to say he's rivalled in every way by Peter Cushing but mentioning that would have made for a crappy headline!

Four Flies on Grey Velvet on dvd from AWE

Whoah, big piece of news there! AWE will be releasing Argento's FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET (which ran in the Danish cinemas as Fire Fluer) in the second part of this year.

Very cool! Good on ya, AWE!! The big question is of course: Where did they buy the rights from? Dario Argento (who owns the world rights for outside the US) or MYR who released the reg. 1 bootleg (yes, it's a bootleg). I certainly hope they're getting it from Dario who would be able to provide them with an uncut print. The MYR disc is missing 40 seconds and reportedly has problems with the various dubs. I hate buying cut prints so I haven't even bought the MYR disc (I have the German boot).

Rated PG!!!??? O_O
