...it's TWO Killdozers, of course!!! *loud insane laughter*

This is a video from the legendary (lol) horror movie KILLDOZER and the soundtrack is by the awesome band Killdozer. And no it's not a real video but a fan video (but then again it's not a real Killdozer track either but a cover version of, well, you figure it out! LOL).

Satanic Crystals (Hong Kong, 1989)

SATANIC CRYSTALS!!! I've known about this movie for yrs but it wasn't till tonight I finally got to see it. "Wild" is probably the best way to describe it. Action galore and too many gory shoot-outs to mention (almost John Woo territory here, altho less stylistic, of course). The plot was... well, it was probably well detailed but it seems the director dropped 10-12 pages in the river, haha.

The print was half letterboxed, looked like a vhs, and the English dub was muffled. I checked the German dub and the sound was way better. Some of the dialogue was completely different, LMAO. The extras were a trailer for the film + a trailer for the Joseph Lai butchered version of CANNIBAL MERCENARY (which I spit on! [the Joseph Lai version that is, not the original film cos that fucken rules!!]).

No, but the effect is great!

Niice! I just scooped up the way OOP Fortune Star DVD of THE BLONDE FURY (aka Female Reporter, dir. by Corey Yuen, HK, 1989) from eBay (it's the real HK DVD I'll be getting, not the Tai Seng "release" from the US. Release in quotation marks cos all they did was to slap on a sticker with their logo onto the case it seems, LOL). The only version in print and easy to get at the moment is the re-released FS VCD. I must admit I haven't actually watched any of Cynthia Rothrock's American films but her old HK flicks from the "Girls who kick ass and look cute" genre sure are good fun! My favourite is (needless to say) YES, MADAM! (aka In the Line of Duty 2) with Michelle Khan.

So I'm watching this German flick 'bout a messed up teen chick...

...who's 15, her mum killed herself, her dad can't see her cos she tried to make him fuck her (my German is a little wobbly here so maybe it was the other way round??), she lives with her drunk aunt (who dies in a seizure halfway thru) and then in one scene she walks out the door from some house and we get this looong scene of her walking... and the music playing is...

LARRY AND THE BLUE NOTES doing the ORIGINAL version of "NIGHT OF THE SADIST" from BACK FROM THE GRAVE CD VOLUME 4!!!!!

How utterly awesome is that! The film is TORPEDO (from 2008) and the film's director (Helene Hegemann) is a 16 year old chick!!! Arrhh, off to a great start I'd say. Kool flick, Kool teen chick (in one scene she just walks round on the street with blood in her face to look more ragged, haha), and even kooler toon by these way kool kats from 1965!!! Last House on the Left 3 Disc Ultimate Edition

I received this cool 3 disc DVD release of THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT from CDWOW in Hong Kong today. Altho I bought it from HK the release is from the UK and in fact this is the first ever uncut UK release of the film. Apart from it being a cool release it's also no less awesome that I paid £3.14 for the box including postage!!! That's about 5 dollars! Niiice.

Hmm, it reminds me... the house I grew up in thru out my entire childhood was actually... the last house on the left. My dad still lives there. He has tools. Saws. Chain... saws.O_O

No, the Japanese title for IL GATTO NERO isn't Demons 6: Armagedon on the video cover, it's Demons 6: De Profundis. And no, MASCHERA DEL DEMONIO has certainly never been released ANYWHERE as "Black Sunday". Someone who obviously ought to be on strong medication "cleverly" figured that since it's the alternative title for MARIO Bava's film MASCHERA DEL DEMONIO it would probably also be the alternative title for the LAMBERTO Bava film of the same Italian title. Of course it's not! DUH!!!

Best ever pop song on a Tuesday

Gee, it's been almost 30 years since I last saw these two DIE KRUPPS videos!! Check them both out! I thought they would have thrown in the towel a long time ago but today I got an email from Kulturbolaget information saying they'll be playing (with Nitzer Ebb) in Malmø in April.

Here's a sound test from 1929 for Alfred Hitchcock's BLACKMAIL. Hitchcock is being his old cheeky self and the babe is Anny Ondra who played the lead in the film.

Ondra was from Czechoslovakia and spoke English well but had an accent so in the film she was dubbed by someone else. Or should I say in the talkie version of the film she was dubbed!

BLACKMAIL was originally prepared as a silent movie but this was shortly after the invention of the talking film (1927) so the studio decided to make it a talking picture instead. However, since many theatres still hadn't bought equipment to play sound films with the film was released as both a silent and a talkie.

I haven't watched either of the two (but needless to say I want to) but various web sites state the original silent version is the better film. Both versions are available on DVD (in Germany and Spain). Check the two clips underneath; they're of the same same scene but from the two different versions. They both contain quite a bit of footage not found in the other edit.

Film wise I prefer the silent version but music wise I prefer the sound version. The cling-clong music in the silent one rips my nerves to threads! It's juuust terrible if you ask me. However, the damn birds in the sound version are a pain too. Hmm, maybe I shouldn't watch this film after all. :/ LOL.

And Anny Ondra is so cute! :D
