If you go to Andrew Leavold's "The Search For Weng Weng" blog you'll find it isn't there anymore. The fuckfaces that are blogger.com decided it was,
get this, SPAM!! And deleted it! So no more Weng Weng blog. I did a Google search to find an old ghost version of the blog to save but it seems they've somehow managed to delete the old versions as well. Boo-hoo. All that info gone forever.
But how can they think it's spam? That's bizarre!
ReplyDeleteBeats me. And it's even more bizarre when you know that Andrew actually wrote to them repeatedly and explained it wasn't spam and yet they STILL deleted the blog.
ReplyDeleteI wrote him on Myspace about that earlier today. This is such an injustice. All that exhaustive work and archiving. Creating such a reference point for the Filipino film industry by a man who did more than research he went in and got waist deep into history itself.
ReplyDeleteIt's irreplaceable.
Hi Scandy Tangerine Man,
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right!
Hey all,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words.
Yep, the baby died. Blogger killed it just before its second birthday. Apparently it was made of tinned ham and wasn't a real baby after all.
SFWW Blog, rust in peace.
But there's a new baby just hatched, and one which will hopefully grow more quickly than anyone imagined: www.bamboogodsandbionicboys.blogspot.com
I know it's only three posts old, but please consider the possibilities!
Ahh, good on ya, Andrew!!!
ReplyDeletePS: But may I suggest you keep backup copies of your posts this time!! ;-)
Too much work to go to waste if Blog.spot decide you're SPAM again! LOL.
